Remind  is a service that provides a safe way for teachers to text message or email students and parents. Using Remind, teachers can send texts and emails to students and parents without needing to know their phone number and without having to give their phone number out. It is a FREE service, and completely voluntary.

How do I sign-up?

To receive text messages from Ms. Penwell:

1. Text Ms. Penwell at: (902)-800-1292 (*note: this is a Remind101 number ONLY)

2. In the message you send to Ms. Penwell, include only the following CLASS CODE (see below): 

  • GRADE 7 BAND text: @gbjhband7
  • GRADE 8 BAND, text: @gbjhband8
  • GRADE 9 BAND, text: @gbjhband9
  • GBJH HONOURS BAND: text @bandgbjh
  • GBJH PARENTS:  text: @gbjhparent

 3. Click Send - you need only to include the @classcode in your message.

4. You will receive an automated text asking for your name. This the final step to include you on the list. Remember, this is a one-way texting service, so you will not be giving out your number!
